You want to learn how to speak English fluently, but do not know where to start? Here are 10 simple tips...
1. Start with believing in yourself
“I was afraid to speak. I was scared people would make fun of me. Will they judge me?
One day, I thought if so many people can, even I can. So I spoke in English and my confidence increased.
2. Listen. Speak. Read. Write. Repeat.
Listen. Speak. Read. Write. Repeat.
Listen a little. Speak a little. Read a little. Write a little. Then, listen a little more. Speak a little more. Read a little more. Write a little more. Do this, till it becomes a habit.
3. Keep your ears open.
English is everywhere. It’s in online videos, news channels, on radio. So listen and build your vocabulary.
4. Find the answer in the question
Questions are like mirrors. Reverse the question, and find the answer.
Does he…? Yes, he does
Is it…? Yes, it is
Can you? Yes, I can

9. Use the word before it leaves you.
Use the new word immediately to feel confident about it’s usage.
10. Practice. Practice. Practice. Till it makes you perfect.
Tips to speak English quickly
1. Smile and breathe.
No matter what your level of English, confidence is vital. When you speak English, smiling will make you feel more confident. It might even help you make some new friends. Make sure to take time to breathe while you are speaking, too. If you get stuck for what to say, just pause, take a breath, and you will feel your confidence returning.
2. Memorize examples with vocabulary.
Don’t just memorize lists of words. Make sure to include examples, too. Make the examples as memorable as possible with a funny story or use something related to your life to help them stick in your mind.
3. Listen to learn.
When listening to English radio, news or movies, pay attention to what you hear. Keep a notebook to write down new phrases, and look up or ask someone about any word that you don’t understand. If you are speaking to a native speaker, don’t be afraid to ask them to explain any idioms or expressions that you don’t understand.
4. Exercise your mouth muscles.
Practise speaking loudly and clearly at home and record yourself to make sure you are doing it right. Exaggerate each sound when you practise alone and you will find it easier to speak clearly in a normal conversation.
5. Copy a native speaker.
Choose someone whose voice you like and find a recording of them speaking. Select a few sentences in the recording and practise saying them yourself exactly how they sound on the recording. Pay attention to the sound of each syllable and which words are stressed.
